2009 Chrysler Town & Country Car Review
Chrysler Town & Country, one of the most family-friendly minivans on the market features a boxy design outside, with pronounced front end that offers a hint of an SUV-like appearance. The wide roof of the minivan also contributes to its boxy look. On the front, Town & Country features a large grille that is influenced by that of Chrysler Sebring Pacifica. Last model's side strakes have been eliminated this year and now the minivan's body sides have a clean and simple design. Chrome accents on the front and rear fascias, door handles, belt molding and mirrors contribute a lot to Town & Country's upscale appearance.
For 2009, Town & Country's popular Stow 'n Go seating arrangement comes standard on the base model. With Stow 'n Go, one gets second-row seats that fold into the floor. The 2009 Town & Country also offers Swivel 'n Go seating, which includes second-row seats that rotate 180 degrees to face the third row with a removable table in between. With these innovative seating arrangements, Town & Country can obviously claim as the ultimate family friendly vehicle!
The 2009 Town & Country's entertainment options along with seating options are the best in its class. The removable table with Swivel 'n Go seating arrangement is good to keep the kids entertained with games like checkers and many more. Town & Country also offers single and dual screen rear DVD entertainment systems and a Sirius Backseat TV with three kid-friendly channels. There is Chrysler's UConnect hard-drive radio that stores hundreds of songs.
The 2009 Chrysler Town & Country is available in three trim levels- base LX, well-equipped Touring and top-of-the-line Limited. With this line-up, Chrysler offers a choice of three V6 engines. LX model comes with a 175 horsepower 3.3-liter V6 engine, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This engine lacks power and is not very fuel efficient. Touring model jumps to a 197 horsepower 3.8-liter V6 and a six-speed automatic transmission. Limited Town & Country comes with the best engine among the three that is a 251 horsepower 4.0-liter V6 with the six-speed automatic. All three trims are offered with front-wheel drive only.
