Chrysler Car ReviewEver since the introduction of Chrysler PT Cruiser, very little has changed. The 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser is the same old model that has been on the road for more than eight years. Once again the distinctive PT Cruiser blends all the elements of a refined classic car with the conveniences and power of a modern station wagon. Needless to say, the wagon's one-of-a-kind retro-themed exterior styling and flexible interior set it apart from many. Once again for 2009, it offers styling, room and class!

On the exterior, PT Cruiser features the face of Chrysler with a Chrysler winged badge, dual-beam flush headlights and teardrop-shaped taillight lenses. The top-of-the-line trim gets chrome accents on the grille. A body-color spoiler on the liftgate contributes to the wagon aerodynamics. A rear liftgate provides easy access to the PT Cruiser's flexible interior.

Inside, PT Cruiser can seat up to five passengers. With the available fold-flat front passenger seat and removable rear seats, the interior offers 160 different seating and cargo configurations. The instrument panel features large gauges, standard compass and temperature displays, flush shutoff rotating air vents and a signature Chrysler analog clock. A passenger grab handle on the right side of the instrument panel makes it easy for passengers to get in and out of the vehicle. Cruiser's radio is mounted high in the center stack. The center console of the wagon features a sliding armrest and covered storage space for various things.

The 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser is available in three trim levels- Base, Touring and Limited. The convertible body style has been discontinued and so as the turbo version of the Touring models. Base PT Cruiser comes equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that can harness 150 horsepower. The engine is controlled by a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic is also available as an option. Touring trim has the same engine, but it comes standard with the four-speed automatic transmission. Limited PT Cruiser is powered by a turbocharged version of the 2.4-liter engine, which can produce 180 horsepower. The four-speed automatic transmission is standard on the trim. All trims come with front-wheel drive only.

For the 2009 model, Chrysler introduced the Dream Cruise Series 5. It sports new design elements. The car comes in pearl white paint with a black roof. All-new cross-hatched, upper and lower solid billet aluminum grilles, interior perks and high-end wheels (17-inch SRT Design) gives it a true sense of customization.
